Wimbledon
This project involved creating an original, dynamic animated promo for Sky Sports Germany's coverage of Wimbledon. The primary objective was to forge a distinctive and intensely sports-oriented visual identity. The core concept compared the world's best tennis players to powerful Greek gods, possessing unimaginable skill. We used subtle, recognizable visual elements in the animation to portray these athletes as the true "Gods of Tennis."
ANIMATION

The animation style is highly dynamic and high-impact, successfully merging live-action tennis footage with fantastical motion graphics to fulfill the "Gods of Tennis" concept. The core technique involves superimposing stylized, vibrant purple lightning and electric energy onto the athletes, which is precisely tracked to follow their movements during high-intensity moments like celebration or serving, visually emphasizing their superhuman power.
This effect is complemented by the use of mythological iconography, such as glowing laurels or crowns in the same vibrant energy, which are placed on the players' heads to instantly transform them into deified figures. Finally, the promo uses a composite background in the title card, placing the Wimbledon logo on a classical Greek column against an epic, cloud-filled sky to firmly establish the narrative that the players are operating on an elevated, divine level—a visual aesthetic that is both intensely athletic and mythologically grand.
